A colourless and flammable aromatic hydrocarbon solvent with the uses in industry, medicine, laboratory functions such as:
- Industrial and laboratory solvents such as in printing to thin inks or varnishes.
- Thinning specified paints, varnishes and enamels.
- Cleaning agent such as in PC circuits and cleaning pipes in the petroleum industry.
- Creating baths in laboratory situations with dry ice to cool reaction vessels.
- Cleaning brushes and tools

WARNING : Flammable liquid and vapour. Harmful if inhaled. Harmful in contact with skin. Causes skin irritation. Contains: Xylene (EC– 215-535-7). Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not breathe vapours. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor/Do NOT induce vomiting. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool.
