LAUNDRY TIP OF THE WEEK 🧺

LAUNDRY TIP OF THE WEEK 🧺

Orange or pink stains suddenly appearing on white bed linen and towels? It's usually not rust or a broken machine.

The most common culprit: sunscreen residue (avobenzone) reacting with chlorine-based bleach during the wash. The two simply don't mix.

Our advice for hotels and care homes:
1. Pre-rinse heavily sunscreen-exposed items
2. Use oxygen-based bleach, not chlorine, on whites
3. Adjust dosing if stains keep coming back

Need help getting your whites back on track? Our team advises laundries across the UK every day.
